Koalas, as you may know, are the cutest little animals! In fact, they are so little that they are actually the smallest bears in the world! Koalas are marsupials and their have family reunions with their Kangaroo brothers and sisters. Most of the koalas are usually silver, grey, or brown. They also have spoon-shaped noses, fluffy ears, and are stout. Koalas also have no tail so they are practically a moving Teddy Bear! Along with that, the males are usually 50% larger than females. The reason that koalas have sharp claws is because they carve pumpkins when they get bored!

Koalas are mainly nocturnal. They can sleep for up to 50 hours in a day! Koalas eat about 2 1/2 pounds of eucalyptus in a day. They also store snack leaves inside of the pouches in their cheeks. Koalas have the smallest brains in the world, so they aren't very smart. When baby koalas are born, they all respond to the name "Joey." When the baby koala is still in its mother's pouch, it is the size of a jelly bean! After the baby koala gets out of the pouch, it rides around on its mother's back. Koalas usually live for 20 years in their parent's basement. Koalas have very few predators, because they live up in trees. They also live in trees because they love cloud watching. The main causes for a koalas death are motor vehicles and dogs.
